The Val St Rockingham Cruising Yacht Club activity is held between 10:00am to midday. We will meet on the jetty platform.

In the event of a cancellation, please notify Fishability Perth South Coordinator, Stephen Jones on 0481 222 532 as soon as possible. If the activity is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be notified the day before the activity.

We are looking forward to hosting our Fishability participants and support workers at an upcoming activity near you. Please note that participants are required to be a minimum of 1.2 metres high and expected to be accompanied by a support worker.

Please bring suitable clothing, coats and hats, for the weather conditions plus a drink and snack if you like. As we are a SunSmart activity, we encourage every participant, support worker and volunteer to adhere to our SunSmart policy. https://fishability.org.au/policies-and-publications/. We will be supplying all fishing equipment with Personal Flotation Devices made available if required.

Fishability volunteers are on hand to assist participants with all fishing needs. We encourage support workers to assist participants with personal needs.

You will receive a SMS reminder 48 hours prior to the activity. Please inform program coordinators if you are no longer able to attend the activity so we can offer the position to somebody else.

The facility is accessed by a sealed road. There are 20 car bays which have a two hour parking limit. There are 2 ACROD car bays. The area can be busy and parking can be difficult to find at times. The parking area is 50m from the facility via a sealed pathway.


Pathways and ramps from the parking area to the facility are wheelchair friendly


This facility is a new steel and composite plastic jetty and has the capacity for 50 fishers.
There are handrails on the facility, however they are not continuous, and there is wooden kerbing along the length of the jetty. The facility has a single light pole on the jetty, and is well lit in nearby car parks.


Good quality and clean Male Female and Disabled access toilets were located adjacent to this facility


Herring, tailor, small bream, crabs, flathead, whiting and squid at night are most commonly caught at this location. For more information on how to catch these species, click here.
