Freshwater Fishability has been operating at the Drakesbrook Dam, Waroona since November 2021. This Program gives participants the opportunity to catch freshwater species including rainbow trout, brown trout and redfin perch.

Chas Riegert, the Program Coordinator (0438 535 848) runs a monthly activity in the region.

All fishing activities are at NO cost to participants. Fishability provide all the fishing equipment. Our volunteers are all police cleared and hold current Working with Children Cards.

All of our activities are SunSmart and we encourage all participants, support workers and volunteers to adhere to our SunSmart policy and wear suitable clothing for the conditions.

We require participants to be a minimum of 1.2 metres high for the vessel activities and we recommend that participants are a minimum of 1.2 metres high for the jetty activities.

Please bring suitable clothing, coats and hats and enclosed shoes, for the weather conditions plus a drink and snack if you like.

If the activity is to be cancelled due to inclement weather, you will receive an email the day before.
